Razak house triumphs at KYS Athletics 2025

The 28th Inter-House Athletic Championship took place on Saturday, 3 May, at the one and only KYSM field. It was a day brimming with energy, excitement, and fierce yet friendly competition as students from Razak, Hussein, and Rahman houses gathered to showcase their athletic talents.

The event brought the entire school community together in the spirit of sportsmanship and unity, with participants giving their all in every event, while spectators cheered enthusiastically from the sidelines. The championship not only highlighted the physical prowess of the students but also strengthened the bonds among the houses, making it a memorable and inspiring occasion for all involved.

The event began with an impressive march-past by all the houses, led proudly by their house captains. Each house showcased discipline, unity, and vibrant team spirit as they marched in perfect coordination, setting a strong tone for the day.

The field echoed with cheers as parents filled the stands, showing their full support and enthusiasm for the participants throughout the championship. Their presence added encouragement to the atmosphere.

A special congratulations goes to Hussein House for once again emerging as the winner of the marching event this year, continuing their proud tradition of excellence and teamwork.

After the march-past, the moment everyone had been eagerly waiting for finally arrived, the athletic events. Excitement filled the air as participants took their positions, each determined to give their best and bring glory to their respective houses.

Every race, jump, and throw was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the athletes, who carried the pride of their house with every stride. The spirit of healthy competition was evident as each participant pushed their limits, motivated not only by the desire to win but also by the drive to contribute meaningfully to their house’s overall performance.

As a proud member of Hussein House, I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Razak House for winning this year’s Inter-House Athletic Championship. It was a well-deserved victory, and your hard work and determination truly shone through every event.

A special shoutout goes to the Big 7s of Razak House for their unwavering commitment, leadership, and guidance that played a vital role in the house’s success. Your support and dedication throughout the championship were truly commendable and inspiring to all. 

That’s a wrap for the day. Although there were moments of disappointment and mixed emotions, what truly stood out was the strong sense of unity shared between all the houses. The spirit of sportsmanship, friendship, and respect remained at the heart of the championship, reminding us that beyond winning, it is the bond we share that matters most.

With the unwavering support from parents, we were proud of each and every one of us for giving our best and standing together as one school community.
