Aliff Adam Zulkifli takes helm as KYSER president after decisive win
Aliff Adam Zulkifli, class of 2005, was elected president of the Kolej Yayasan Saad Ex-Residents Association (KYSER) following a decisive victory at the association’s annual general meeting last night.
Aliff, widely known among alumni as Ringgo and who served as head boy during his final year at KYS, prevailed against incumbent president Nurisyam Samsudin and vice-president Abdullah Hidayat, both of whom were renominated. Currently with Petronas, Aliff paid tribute to the outgoing committee for their service.
He said he hoped to lead through collective effort and shared responsibility, adding that strengthening engagement and participation among alumni would be a priority going forward.
Elected alongside him was vice-president Amir Kamaruddin, also from the class of 2005. Amir said he and Aliff had spent time engaging with KYSERs to better understand current concerns and expectations.
“Ringgo and I have had an opportunity to speak to KYSERs and understand the situation on the ground. We will do our best to rally the support of KYSERs to pursue our agenda moving forward,” he said.
The role of treasurer was assumed by Jefrey Md Yunos, class of 1999, who has long been involved with the KYSER association, previously serving as its auditor.
Jefrey highlighted the need to review the association’s finances and introduce stronger governance and control measures, saying this in the context of the 2021–2025 financial report, which had been audited with a qualified opinion and would require further scrutiny, particularly on inventory management.
Amanyna Hanany Adnan, class of 2011, was elected secretary. She currently serves as business and strategic development manager at Kolej Yayasan Saad, making her the first KYSER to work with the school. Her appointment is expected to help strengthen coordination and alignment between the alumni body and the institution.

The election was held during the KYSER AGM 2026 at the Chess Hub, Jalan Ampang Putra, where the outgoing committee also presented its activity report.
Among the highlights were alumni engagements such as the KYSER Sports Carnival, iftar gatherings, ziarah KYSER Raya at the school in Melaka, the KYS 30th anniversary celebrations, and the 2025 KYSER annual dinner, reflecting a year of continued outreach and community-building efforts.
